Lifestyle : The German cockroach is light-shy and omnivorous. They can survive 10 to 40 days without food.
Injury : Contaminated food carries contamination and is a carrier of bacteria and mites.

Brown-banded cockroach

Appearance : The brown-banded cockroach resembles the German cockroach, but lacks the longitudinal stripes.
Development : Incomplete metamorphosis, with an average egg sac containing 16 eggs. The larvae molt 6 to 8 times.
Lifestyle : Not or hardly sensitive to light, very active, sometimes flies.
Injury : Contamination of objects and food, Dragging of infectious substances.

Oriental cockroach

Blatta Orientalis L

Appearance : The adult oriental cockroach is blue-black, 2.1 to 2.8 cm long, excluding antennae. Females have small wings, while males have larger wings and cannot fly.
Development : Incomplete metamorphosis. Maximum lifespan approximately 9 months.
Lifestyle : Light-shy, omnivorous, but preferring sweet and starchy foods. Oriental cockroaches can live for two to four weeks without food.
Injury : Contaminate food, carry bacteria and mites. Transmit infectious agents.
Prevention Observe careful hygiene, keep food cool.

American cockroach

Periplaneta americana L

Appearance : Adults are glossy reddish-brown, with light yellow patches on the wings and pronotum. Length: 2.8 to 4.4 cm, excluding the long antennae.
Development : Incomplete metamorphosis. The egg stage lasts 5 weeks at 30 degrees Celsius, 7 weeks at 25 degrees Celsius. The maximum lifespan of an adult is 2 years.
Lifestyle : Light-shy, omnivorous, and preferring human food. American cockroaches can live for 4 to 6 weeks without food. They prefer dark, warm, and moist places.
Injury : Contaminating food; they carry bacteria, mites, and diseases.
Prevention Remove food by ensuring good hygiene. Seal seams and cracks if possible. Store food in cool warehouses.
