AF Amicus Rat Bait Station

The AF® Amicus is a species-specific feeding box that reduces the risk of access by non-target animals and has been specifically developed for brown rats ( Rattus norvegicus ).

This is an important risk-mitigation measure when using rodenticides in all areas and reduces the risk when using snap traps. When this feeder is properly positioned, snails are unlikely to enter and consume rodenticides in the feeder.

The bait box opens quickly and easily with the plastic AF® Push Key. The hinged lid can be left on for inspection or removed for cleaning or replenishing bait.

Bait blocks and paste bags can be securely attached to the metal bait holder in the lid. Fresh paste bait in containers or grain bait can be placed in an insert on either side of the access tubes in the central compartment.

The bait box also accommodates two Snap-E Rat or Trapper T-Rex snap traps or two digital Xignal Rat Traps, which can be safely placed either side of the access tubes in the central compartment.

The AF® Amicus must be mounted to a wall or pole at the correct height to function properly. This can be done using the included template and the pre-formed keyhole openings. These openings allow the feeder box to be adjusted in height as needed.

The correct adjustment height should be between 90 mm and 100 mm from the base of the access tube to the ground.
