Walk-through trap to catch rats, martens and even polecats!
Once the walk-through trap is set, an animal will be attracted to the bait. When attempting to eat, the animal will have to stand on the platform. As soon as the platform moves, the iron pins on the sides of the cage will move apart. At that moment, the flaps on both sides of the cage will close. The smaller flaps will rest on the barb, preventing the animal from escaping. The trap is made of galvanized steel.
Tips
You can place four eggs in the holes in the platform as bait. Do this before setting the trap.
To catch pests even faster and more efficiently with this walk-through trap, you can cover the bottom of the trap with sand and leaves. Covering the trap with a cloth or branches will reduce light, making it easier for pests to enter. Always wear gloves when setting the trap to keep human scent away from the trap.
